The BMW i5 takes centre stage in 2024 Falmouth Univeristy internship
Ocean BMW Falmouth were excited to renew our collaboration with Falmouth University at the beginning of 2024.
Throughout January and February, we welcomed BA(Hons) Commercial Photography student Hannah Mittelstaedt to work with us on a micro-internship.
The Ocean BMW Falmouth team provided Hannah with a brief to capture the BMW i5 in a Cornish setting, focusing on the unique elements of the South West.
It was then left up to Hannah to interpret that brief as creatively as she saw fit. Along with further collaborations with dance and fashion students, Hannah completed her internship, producing a series of stunning photographs across multiple locations.
Hannah became the latest student from Falmouth University to join us at Ocean BMW, following Ben Hope, who beautifully filmed the BMW i4, as well as Ashley Powell and Katie Edwards, who worked with the BMW iX3.

Reflecting on the internship project with Ocean BMW, Hannah said, “Doing an internship with Ocean BMW was a great opportunity for me. Not only did it give me the chance to photograph luxury cars but one of my school assignments is to photograph for a brand, so this internship fit in seamlessly.
“The best part about this project was how open the assignment was. This allowed me to experiment with the photos and insert my own style into them. This also gave a number of other Falmouth students the opportunity to work as stylists, models and lighting assistants on the shoot.”
