Ocean BMW is seeking an exceptional Head of Business to lead our Plymouth retailer operation. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven and people-focused individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance.

Your Role

As Head of Business, you will have full responsibility for the overall performance of the dealership, leading high-performing teams across Sales, Aftersales, and Customer Service. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to drive profitability, develop talent, and ensure the business continues to represent the premium standards associated with the brands we represent.

This role would suit an experienced automotive leader with a proven track record in dealership management and a strong understanding of the premium retail environment.

  • Lead and inspire the dealership management team to achieve business objectives
  • Drive sales and aftersales performance while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction levels
  • Deliver sustainable profitability and growth across all departments
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with organisational goals
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and development
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturer partners and key stakeholders
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation

​Your Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a senior automotive retail leadership role, ideally as a Head of Business, General Manager, Senior Manager or Dealer Principal
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive financial performance
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering premium service
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams within a franchised dealership environment
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and resilience
