The team at Ocean MINI Plymouth was proud to take part in this year’s Plymouth in Bloom initiative which will be the third year alongside the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, helping to enhance one of the city’s most iconic outdoor spaces — The Hoe — with flowers kindly donated by Plymouth Garden Centre making or a vibrant floral display.
As part of our Sustainability Action Plan, the Ocean MINI team joined local volunteers for a hands-on morning of tidying and planting a restored boat — recovered from Plymouth Sound. With trowels in hand and smiles all around, the Ocean MINI team helped bring new life to the area by adding colourful blooms and life to The Hoe that will be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike throughout the summer.
Plymouth in Bloom is a city-wide effort to celebrate and improve green spaces, and we’re delighted to contribute to this important project. Taking pride in our city and giving back to the community are values that mean a great deal to us at Ocean MINI. With judging taking place later this summer we are hoping for a gold award, but either way it’s great to support our local waterfront.
We’d like to thank the organisers and fellow volunteers for the warm welcome and great team spirit. We’re already looking forward to getting involved again next year!
