Motability at Ocean MINI

While we understand that the Motability Scheme offers a convenient and affordable way for those with disabilities to access a vehicle, at this time, our MINI range is not available through this program. 

What is Motability?

Through the Motability car scheme, those receiving mobility allowance can use all or part of it to lease a car of their choice. At Ocean MINI, we take pride in being a part of the Motability Scheme, offering individuals with disabilities the opportunity to experience the freedom of stylish, enjoyable, and affordable cars. 

If you’re eligible for the Motability scheme, we’re here to assist you in finding the perfect MINI to suit both your lifestyle and needs. When choosing a MINI through the Motability Scheme, you can select a model that perfectly matches your needs, all at a price that suits your budget. The process is simple and hassle-free, with payments automatically deducted from your allowance every four weeks and paid directly to the Department for Work and Pensions or Veterans UK.

INCLUDES:

✓ Insurance included.
✓ All servicing, maintenance, windscreen and tyre replacement costs built in.
✓ Accident and breakdown cover.
✓ Many adaptations at no extra cost.
✓ Ability to nominate up to two drivers.
✓ A new MINI every three years which includes a 60,000 mileage allowance.

There are a few different allowances which cover your Motability car through the scheme. If you receive any of the following, you can use your payments to cover the monthly rentals of a MINI over the next three years:

  • The Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance.
  • The Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) – please note: to be eligible for the PIP Motability car scheme, you need to be on the enhanced rate not standard rate.
  • The War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS).
  • The Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).

Your Motability eligibility will depend on whether you have at least 12 months left before your benefit ends. You’ll find this information on your benefit decision letter if you’re unsure.
