The M XR is quite literally born for the racetrack, as it’s made up from M DNA. The most powerful letter in the world being merged with this bikes means it comes with top quality machinery and outstanding equipment and materials to optimise your riding experience when you’re in the fast lane. M Parts are integrated throughout, with the M winglets, M Sport seat, and the M brake. The merge of M and XR creates the perfect blend of performance and long-distance capability, and it’s a highly versatile bike with the ability for sport, touring, and pillion-suitable journeys. If reducing weight is an important factor for you, the optional M Competition package will achieve this so that you are on the road with maximum dynamism.
The M performance, proved. As soon as you climb onto the M XR, you’ll be reminded that you can move at over 275 km/h. The Power of M will catapult you from 0-100 in 3.2 seconds, and to 200 in just 7.4 seconds. This is thanks to the BMW ShiftCam four-cylinder engine of the RR, adapted for the XR, creating 201 hp (147 kW) at a maximum speed of 14,600 rpm. The M XR is perfect for those performance-oriented, long-distance journeys due to the sports gearbox with shorter ratios in 4th, 5th and 6th gear.

BMW M 1000 XR DESIGN
When you spot the all-new BMW M 1000 XR, you will notice that it’s unmistakably M. The classic BMW M characteristic has three iconic colours: light blue, dark blue, and red. This is displayed perfectly on both colour schemes of the M XR, in the standard Light White/M Motorsport, and the Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport. The latter comes with the optional M Competition package, which enhances the bike both technically and visually to signal its exclusive sportiness. This includes the M Carbon wheels, the M Billet pack, and M GPS-Laptrigger. Behind you, you’ll find the slim, performance-oriented rear with a short number plate carrier, and the evidence that you have gone past comes from the incomparable sound of the Akrapovic slip-on rear silencer. You can bring a pillion along on the ride with you, with the passenger seat contour, slim grab handles, and rear footrest bracket.

Starting your M XR up will immediately put you into M-mode, as the M-start up animation appears on the TFT display before bringing up all the important information you need to get to your destination.

Right down to the rear, the genes of the M XR are fully made up from Motorsport, right down to every detail: from the M milled parts, such as the M clutch and brake lever, to the slim rear section with steep titanium rear silencer and short number plate carrier.
