DESIGN
The BMW S 1000 XR certainly has some degree of sporting influence, as its short tail resembles that of a racing bike. The Sharp edges and split-racing front brake with a classic fork creates a style that is truly revolutionary. Although a somewhat intimidating sporty appearance, comfort is certainly not neglected, as the high flyline, long-distance seat position and comfortable handlebars will quench your thirst to travel many kilometres. The minimalist fender and swing-arm add to the finished look, with a sleek style that is enough to send any driver wild. The customisable colour options include Racing Red or Style Triple Black, or if you’re a fan of the S 1000 XR's heritage combination, red, white and blue in Light White/M Motorsport.
PERFORMANCE
Raw power is about to get an upgrade. The BMW S 1000 XR has an inline-four with a 16-valve engine. The engine itself is also liquid-cooled, and it’s capable of 165HP with 11,000RPM. The maximum torque clocks in at 114 Nm at 9,250. This is a beast of a machine that is begging you to push it to the absolute limits. Only then will you unleash its true potential.
TECHNOLOGY
Out with the old and in with the new - the technology of the cockpit has improved with a 6.5" TFT Display with BMW Motorrad Connectivity, replacing the instrument panel. With this, you are able to stay connected with the world while you ride, by connecting your smartphone, bike, and helmet via Bluetooth for navigation, music, and conversations. Safety has been considered as the ECALL "Intelligent Emergency Call" is integrated with the handlebar, automatically contacting emergency services as quickly as possible in the case of an accident. Manoeuvring a flawless exercise. Expect smooth shifting with zero clutch use. The rain and road mode also makes it easier for you to adjust to any driving conditions, with the added benefit of having automatic stability control. This will keep your ride balanced, even when turning a fierce corner. This is one setup that will change the way you ride, forever.
