PERFORMANCE
The performance from the S 1000 R is unmatched, as the drivetrain allows you to race straight off from neutral, with a maximum of 12,000rpm. Lean angle-dependent riding modes allow for precise control, with the optional Pro riding modes giving full control over all control systems. The optional M package adds an extra oomph of power and enthusiasm, with features like the M forged wheels or M carbon wheels, the M endurance chain and the M lightweight battery. Lightweight doesn't stop there, however, as the S 1000 R is optimised down to the very last gram. The weight of the bike has been considered to ensure it is dynamic at its best - the M package weighs in at just 194kg, whilst the basic S 1000 R is 199kg. Even when fully equipped and with a full tank of fuel, it remains under 200kg.
DESIGN
Choose between three colour options that each highlight the features of the S 1000 R. Exclusively in the M package, Light White/M Motorsport is a clear contender, as the strongest letter in the world carries the strongest colours in the world: light blue, dark blue and red. Racing Red is a self-explanatory option, as it resembles the daredevil that goes perfectly with the bike. The final colour option is Style Sport - a mineral white with a striking yellow 'R'. This option emphasises the corners and edges of the S 1000 R.
The construction has been considered to ensure that everything is under control, thanks to a dual-adjustable handlebar clamp, three different seat heights and the enlarged steering angle.
