POWERFUL PERFORMANCE​
​The boxer engine with BMW ShiftCam technology has two different intake camshaft profiles. Thanks to the variable camshaft control, every situation you’re thrown into on the R 1250 RS comes with more power. Because of this, the drive impresses with superior running smoothness, high efficiency, and impressive torque development depending on the requirements. You can feel just how powerful the R 1250 RS is, as the increase up to the maximum torque of 143 Nm can be felt in every speed range. As well as experiencing dynamic sportiness, an efficient Eco driving mode has now been added to the Rain and road driving modes as standard, which allows you to drive efficiently whenever you feel like it. Your selected setting will be shown on the 6.5″ TFT Display, as well as new optional Pro riding modes, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro, which ensure more performance on each tour.

NEW HIGHLIGHTS
The R 1250 RS comes with a revised design and improved features, so the appearance matches the energy of its dynamic performance. With new full LED headlights as standard, the illumination excels its previous self with both low and high beam creating a wider-lit view. The light is also whiter, making the road ahead safer by ensuring each contour is highlighted clearly. Another innovative feature is the 6.5″ TFT Display, which allows you to stay connected by linking your smartphone to your bike via Bluetooth. This ensures that everything you need is right in front of you, like navigation, music and the ability to call someone if needed.
