BRAND NEW BOXER ENGINE
With the completely new boxer engine on the R 1250 R, the power exerted through a maximum torque of 143 Nm means that the delivery is more than ever before. The desire and ability to propel yourself on the roads ahead is effortless thanks to superior qualities like the variable camshaft control system BMW ShiftCam, and a capacity increase to 1254 ccm for the ultimate boost.
DYNAMIC ESA
For a safer and more stable ride, the R 1250 R comes equipped with Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) which regulates the damping and spring preload of the telescopic fork and spring struts automatically, depending on riding conditions. This ensures that the highest level of comfort and traction are achieved, even when on an incline.
BMW R 1250 R DESIGN
The newest features of the R 1250 R have provided a much more fresh appearance, like the engine spoilers and the radiator cowls, and with three colour variants to choose from you can match the design of your bike to enjoy your roadster in your very own way. The basic colour option is Black Storm Metallic, which gives a sleek and classy look to your roadster as mainly all components are blacked out, with a slight contrast of silver features. To give the bike an extra oomph of character, the R on the front side panel is a striking red. The Style Sport option offers an athletic appearance without compromise, as the Light White/Racing Blue Metallic/Racing Red sequence exhibits the dynamic character of the R 1250 R. Elegance and exceptional appearance are highlighted with the Exclusive design option, with a stunning Mineral Grey Metallic paintwork and noticable elements like the golden brake callipers, radiator cowls and stainless steel fuel tank.
