Would you like to learn the skills to become a safer motorcycle rider all-year round? Ocean are excited to share that we will be hosting two BikeSafe Workshops at our Plymouth Motorrad Dealership on Saturday 29th April.
What is BikeSafe?
BikeSafe is a Workshop run by Devon & Cornwall Police, who are fully committed to recommending this course as an insight into what can be achieved from post-test motorcycle training. This course encourages motorcyclists to learn the skills so they can ride safely throughout the year, not only in the ‘motorbike season.’ These sessions are taken into the Winter months, as Devon & Cornwall Police believe that riding all-year-round can help to maintain and enhance skills of motorcycle riding, so that the rider is safer in general. BikeSafe is designed to encourage motorcyclists to invest in themselves by taking further training to make the roads a safer place for all.
What can I expect from the Workshop?
Devon & Cornwall BikeSafe Workshops are limited to 14 riders per session, and these sessions are open to all motorcyclists from 125cc and up with a full/restricted power motorcycle license.
There will be a classroom session in the morning delivered by a professional Police-trained facilitator, who will discuss advanced riding skills and techniques based on the Police manual of riding, motorcycle control, and some of the common causes of accidents. After a break for lunch, there will be an afternoon ride-out with a Police Motorcyclist who will provide advice on improving your skills. This will follow a format of demonstration rides and assessments. The day will conclude with a full debrief from your observer.
Rider Requirements:
You will be required to bring your UK Driver’s License (if photo license then both parts are required), valid MOT certificate and insurance certificate. Please wear full-rider clothing and gear. Your motorcycle must be in roadworthy condition (check your tyres and number plates.) Breakdown recovery is the rider’s responsibility. If your motorcycle is deemed un-roadworthy, or if it breaks down during the course, no refund will be given.

Second session – Saturday 29th April 2023, 13:00pm.
Cost: £65.00 per person.
