SUMMARY:Park House Opera 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Opera’s greatest love story in Cornwall this Summer.\nAfter yet another sell-out year in 2024, we are thrilled to open up the Box Office ( https://www.parkhouseopera.com/booknow/p/friday-ticket ) for Giuseppe Verdi’s unrivalled “La Traviata” for Summer 2025. Set against the glittering backdrop of 19th-century Paris, this timeless tale of love, sacrifice, and heartbreak follows Violetta, a dazzling courtesan, and Alfredo Germont, a passionate young man who sweeps her off her feet. Verdi was inspired by seeing Alexander Dumas play “The Lady of the Camellias” (hence our stunning logo created for us by Martin Nixon). Their love is tested by societal pressures, family honour, and Violetta’s devastating illness. With its lush melodies, dramatic intensity, and unforgettable arias, La Traviata offers an emotional journey that resonates across centuries. Don’t miss this masterpiece — experience the passion, the glamour, and the heartbreak in person.\nOh yes, and fabulous food and drink from Philleigh Way, The Cornish Italian and Old Chapel Cellars to name but a few! Buy your tickets now and be part of opera history!\n
